Hello, I’m Kieran Clarke, Lead Specialist Tutor and Mentor at Calm. Clear. Confident. Specialist Support.
I am a specialist study skills tutor and mentor with over 13 years’ experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, autism and ADHD. I have also worked as a university lecturer across three academic disciplines, and I am currently completing a PhD.
Calm. Clear. Confident. Specialist Support was created to offer something personal, consistent and academically informed. Students are not passed into a faceless system. They are supported by experienced practitioners who understand higher education, neurodivergence and the importance of calm, clear, practical support.

Calm, practical support

Experienced and academically informed

A connected specialist team
Our work is grounded in consistency, trust and positive relationships. We take time to understand each student’s needs, strengths and preferred way of working, so support feels practical, respectful and manageable.
Our Mission
To even the playing field, so every student has the chance to show their true academic ability.
Calm. Clear. Confident. Specialist Support exists to help students feel understood, supported and equipped to manage higher education. Our role is not to change who a student is, but to help remove the barriers that can get in the way of their learning, confidence and independence.
Through calm, practical and relationship-based support, we help students develop strategies that work for them, so their strengths, ideas and true academic potential can come through more clearly.
Our Team
“Education is a respectable thing, but it should be remembered that sometimes what is taught is not worth knowing.”
An ideal place to grow up
