For Needs Assessors and University Teams
We aim to provide students with a high-quality support experience that is calm, consistent and professionally delivered.
Our support is designed to help students develop confidence, organisation, independent study skills and practical strategies for managing higher education.
We understand the importance of using public funding responsibly. Support is delivered ethically, within the agreed remit and with clear professional boundaries.
Tutors and mentors are carefully selected, suitably qualified and fully background checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service, commonly known as DBS. Where appropriate, tutors and mentors are also registered with the DBS Update Service.
Our team works with clear expectations around safeguarding, confidentiality, data protection, professional boundaries and student-centred practice.
Tutors and mentors complete relevant autism and neurodiversity training, including National Autistic Society training modules and SPELL framework training for higher education.
Our tutors and mentors bring high levels of academic and professional experience.
All tutors and mentors have a PhD or are working towards one. The team includes experience in higher education, teaching, specialist mentoring, study skills support, SENCO work, autism, ADHD and neurodivergent student support.
This means students are supported by practitioners who understand both academic expectations and the practical barriers that can affect engagement, confidence and independent study.
Our role is to supplement the student’s learning, not replace teaching or challenge academic processes.
Specialist study skills and mentoring support may help students understand assignment briefs, plan their workload, manage deadlines, develop independent study strategies and reflect on feedback.
We do not write work for students, provide subject teaching, mark assignments or interfere with university academic judgement.
Where appropriate and with the student’s consent, we can communicate professionally with university contacts to support joined-up provision.
This rate is intended to provide high-quality specialist support at a fair, £55 per hour, inclusive of VAT
